Francis Rigby – Senior Financial Adviser (Toowong)

After completing his Economics Degree in 1996 and finishing 2 years as a research assistant in a Stockbroking company, Francis and his wife Portia travelled the world competing for Australia at numerous international and world championships in Ice Dance. The Goodwill Games Brisbane in 2001 saw them compete for their last time, hanging up their skates in order to follow their professional careers.

Francis commenced employment with Financial Technology Securities in 2001 and since that time has continually demonstrated his dedication to his Clients. In Francis, you will find a dedicated professional with a personal touch that ensures you know you are receiving the very best of care.

He has been an Authorised Representative since May 2001 and continues to successfully work with existing and prospective clients out of the Toowong Office. Given his standing in Financial Technology Securities, Francis mentors new Financial Advisers and is a valuable member of the Investment Committee. He has been a shareholder of Financial Technology since 2004.

Adrian Berkeley – Senior Financial Adviser (Mt Gravatt - Brisbane)

Adrian joined the team here at Financial Technology in 1997, and has been an Authorised Representative since the 20th January of that year. Prior to joining us Adrian was an adviser with AMP from 1990, where he worked as an Insurance Representative for both AMP and AC&L. During this period he gained intensive knowledge in the Life Insurance, Superannuation and Investment markets. After several years of study, Accreditation courses, etc, Adrian became an Authorised Representative of AMP in 1994, then in January 2002 he graduated from Deakin University with his Diploma of Financial Planning and so enabling him to follow his chosen profession - financial planning.

As a senior adviser and shareholder within Financial Technology, Adrian has been on several internal committees, and is currently on the Superannuation Committee. Adrian is very focused on all his clients and is committed to providing excellent financial planning advice to both his existing and prospective clients. He is also a long-standing team member and is well regarded by clients, staff and management.

Away from the office, Adrian is married to Merelyn and January 2003 saw the arrival of their twin boys. Despite this he still manages to find time to indulge his other passions – fine wine, Aussie Rules, fishing, road trips, travel and of course, the boys sport.

Glen Palmer – Financial Adviser Mt Gravatt

Glen has worked in the financial services industry since 1995. During this time, he worked predominantly in the banking industry and with a chartered accountant where he lead the financial services section of the business. He holds qualifications in financial planning – Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australia.

As an Authorised Representative of Financial Technology Securities, Glen specialises in pre and post retirement planning and is continuing to build on his practical expertise through continued post graduate studies in applied finances.

Glen’s professional interests include: attending seminars about wealth creation and wealth protection, superannuation and engaging with his strong network of superannuation professionals across Australia. Glen’s client centred approach is supported by his extensive experience and genuine professionalism.

When not at work, Glen is kept busy with his family – including two grandchildren and two Jack Russell dogs. He relaxes in the garden, going to the gym, visiting national parks and art galleries, and holidaying in northern New South Wales. Glen and his wife Gina also enjoy Argentine Tango (when time permits) and creative cooking.

Mark Fraser  – Senior Financial Adviser (Robina - Gold Coast)

Mark commenced with Financial Technology Securities in 1998 and has been involved within the Finance & Financial Planning Industry for the past 19 years.

Mark holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and this combined with his years of experience enables Mark to help clients from basic investment plans through to advanced strategies. Mark is able to offer advice across the following areas

Brett Cederblad – Senior Financial Adviser (Robina - Gold Coast)

Brett joined Financial Technology Securities during November 2000 having been introduced as a client.

Brett and his wife Toni have two children, Tate and Chelsea. Prior to joining the Financial Services Industry Brett was a professional baseballer, which included stints in Japan, Taiwan and the Boston Redsox, as well as many years with the Australian National team.

Bill Beimers – Financial Adviser (Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton)

Bill was born in March 1975, and started work in the Financial Services Industry in 1998, as a home loans consultant, and was given the opportunity to work at Wide Bay Australia Ltd, where he was promoted to Assistant Loans Manager in 2001. During that period, Bill worked closely with Financial Technology in a senior Credit Underwriting and Relationship Management role. It was during this period that Bill helped develop many of the systems and procedures between FTS & Wide Bay.

Bill commenced his Financial Planning studies with Deacon University in 1999, and now holds a Diploma of Financial Services, specializing in both Banking and Financial Planning, and is continuing ongoing professional development and study.

After having observed the client’s successes resulting from the FTS planning and strategies during his role at Wide Bay Australia, Bill developed a passion for Financial Technology’s planning strategies and philosophies, and set himself a personal goal to follow that passion.

After leaving his role at Wide Bay in 2009, Bill was able to start his new career as FTS adviser, which he thoroughly enjoys. Bill feels that his new role allows him to assist his past and new clients on a broader scale.

Bill believes strongly in the FTS philosophies and client commitment, and has therefore become a shareholder.

Bill’s clients benefit from his industry experience, and Bill has a strong focus on helping them achieve their goals.

Bill is married to Lisa, who runs her own successful small-business. They enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Paul Sackett – Financial Adviser ( Retirement Specialist - Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Hervey Bay, Maryborough)

Paul has been in the Financial Services Industry for 23 years, commencing just prior to the 1987 Stock Market Crash. Initially joining the Capita Financial Group in Darwin, and later transferring to Gosford in 1990. With the merger between Capita and MLC, Paul built up his private practice for the next 13 years before deciding to sell the Practice and move to the Sunshine State, in Bundaberg, QLD.

For the next six years Paul was employed as the Financial Planner of one of the Big 4 Banks, specializing in Retirement Planning and Transitioning to Retirement. Gearing and Risk Strategies were also an important part of the advice given to the Bank customers.

Joining Financial Technology Securities in December 2009, Paul is looking forward to the new opportunities ahead, especially providing ongoing advice and service to the existing clients of Financial Technology, as well as providing advice to those clients that want to maximize their retirement savings, reduce their home loan and enjoy their well deserved extended holiday.

Paul’s other interests include Latin Dancing, watching his favourite Rugby League team play, relaxing on the weekends with his partner, Janet and enjoying life, whatever it may bring.

Ken Wilson – Financial Adviser (Bundaberg, Maryborough, Hervey Bay)

Joining the financial advisory team at the Financial Technology Bundaberg offices at the beginning of 2010, Ken has enjoyed working with his clients and showing how they can reduce their home loan debt and increase their wealth that can help them achieve and live their dreams and aspirations, especially to enjoy an earlier and more comfortable retirement.

A qualified workplace trainer Ken also holds a Diploma of Financial Services, specializing in Financial Planning, and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).

Originally from a banking background, Ken is a well known Bundaberg born local who has been heavily involved in community service projects in both Mount Isa and Bundaberg. Among other projects, Ken, originated the concept, and was the driving force behind the Lake Ellen Heritage Hub, a $1,000,000, community built all abilities playground which features a Liberty Swing for children in wheelchairs. He has also been member and office bearer of many school, and community event committees.

Ken is married to Jenny and they have 2 children, and likes relaxing with a nice drop of red wine sitting beside the country stream and his camper trailer.

Darren Cooper – Senior Financial Adviser (Mackay)

Darren Cooper has worked in the Financial Services Industry as a Financial Adviser since 2002.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and has a Commissioner for Declaration qualification.

Darren’s experience and qualifications enable him to communicate and educate people from all walks of life. He sees his role as an educator working closely with his clients in achieving their financial goals.

Darren believes strongly in the Cashflow & Investment Management System (CIMS) provided by Financial Technology Securities.  Darren’s goal is to provide as many people as possible with the opportunity of benefiting from their own CIMS plans.  This is reflected in the large number of referrals Darren receives from his existing clients. Darren’s speciality is cashflow management and wealth creation.
